NEW VERSION!

This module allows you to integrate easily the Open Source analytics tool Piwik in your Joomla 1.5 website. This module works in both languages (french and english). By configuring the differents parameters, you will be able to change the way Piwik handle the datas (see 'Configuration').

Installation

This module works with the version 1.5.x of Joomla. The latest tests were done with the 1.5.14 release.

This module set up as others Joomla extensions with back-office "extensions => install/uninstall". If you need more informations, you will find everything on the official Joomla website : joomla.org.

This module needs to be published with the latest position. So the DEBUG position is highly advised.

Settings

Version : Piwik version installed on your server
Id: id of the website in your Piwik administration
Url: url linked to your Piwik administration (without http:// and last /)
Action: Name used for identify your pages, 2 options availables (url => page url, title => title metatag, keyword => specific & static word)
Keyword: Static & specific keyword if you choose this option below
Append: Static & specific words used in combination with url or title action name. You have to use %s wher you want to keep the dynamic part. For example: "Joomla1.5 %s stats"

Downloads & outlinks: Activate or not the downloads and outlinks
Ignored classes: List all CSS classes you don't want to be include in Piwik reports separate by coma.
Extensions: List all the extensions allowed to be downloaded separate by coma
Alias: Add hostnames that won't be saved as outlinks separate by coma
Delay: Time (ms), for saving datas before redirect to the clicked link
Url https: Use https instead of http
Token: (not used now)

You can use class on weblinks for exclude/include them from Piwik reports:

  • Ignore a download or outlink tracking on a specific link: class="piwik_ignore"
  • Force a click on a link to be recorded as a download in Piwik: class="piwik_download"
  • Force a click on a link to be recorded as an outlink in Piwik: class="piwik_link"
